Auch in diesem Jahr gibt es auf 3sat wieder einen Tag lang Konzerte zu sehen. Insgesamt auf 24 Konzerte zeigt 3sat im Rahmen von „Pop around the clock 2018“ am 31. Dezember von 6.00 Uhr morgens an. Alle Konzerte sind ab 6 Uhr online in der Mediathek zu sehen.
Auch wenn die meisten Konzerte auf 45 Minuten bzw. ein Stunde gekürzt sind, werden in diesem Jahr mit z.B. „Samy Deluxe x MTV Unplugged“ (2018), „Herbert Grönemeyer: Tumult – Live“ (2018), „U2 – Live in London“ (2017), „Yello – Live in Berlin“ (2016) oder „Coldplay – Live in São Paulo“ (2017) ein paar interessante, neuere Konzerte im Programm.
