Midnight Soulstice: The RAMP Special

Mignight Soulstice liefert mit dem RAMP Special („Everybody Loves The Sunshine“, „Daylight“) eindeutig den Soundtrack für das sonnige Osterwochende ab:

It almost feels like summer here in the VA, and of course we all know that „Everybody loves the Sunshine“. Remember the Roy Ayers hit? We got much love for that track, but we love the version by Cincinnati’s RAMP even more! RAMP was a group produced by Roy Ayers back in the 1970s, and they released one album on Blue Thumb records titled „Come into Knowledge“. Due to lack of promotion, the album failed to chart and the group dismantled shortly after, but the music was here to stay forever. The record was sampled zillions of times by Hip Hoppers and the greats of Neo-Soul – especially evergreens like „American Promise“ and the Soul anthem „Daylight“. Ask anyone who owns this incredible album – it almost always makes the list of everyone’s top ten all time favorites.

Essential Show!
