Midnight Soulstice: The 60s Sound of James Brown

„And now ladies and gentlemen, it’s star time at the Apollo…“ DJ Pari präsentiert in der neusten Ausgabe seiner Midnight Soulstice Radio Show rare James Brown Tracks von Vinyl aus den 60’er Jahren:

In the past, we’ve had numerous shows that featured James Brown’s associated artists, including Marva Whitney and Fred Wesley. But with interviews, there is less time for music … and music is the essence when you talk about James Brown. Tonight, Midnight Soulstice co-host DJ Pari will take you on a fantastic two-hour trip through the James Brown sound of the 1960s, which is without a doubt the creative peak of Soulbrother #1 (he wasn’t dubbed Godfather of Soul until the mid-1970s). DJ Pari will pick some of the rarest and some of the most memorable tunes of this exciting era, including tunes by James Brown’s proteges that many of our listeners have never heard before, even die-hard James Brown fans. Get hip to some very serious Funk and Soul this Friday from 11 pm until 1 am Eastern! (And yes, we’ll do a 1970s sound of James Brown feature in the near future!)
