Mixe mit einem guten Konzept im Rücken finde ich ja generell sehr ansprechend. Wer das mit einem speziellen Hip Hop Mix mal wieder mit Bravour umsetzt, ist Dj Friction mit seinem „DJ’s & MC’s Mix Vol.1“. Der Titel macht natürlich Hoffnung auf weitere Episoden.
this mix is a tribute to all the great DJ’s & MC’s tracks that featured scratch dj skillz…Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, Aladdin, so many great DJ’s that influenced me and many others back in the day…it gives a nice few on the evolution of scratching as well…we go back to 1983 with RUN DMC’s Jam Master Jay, to LL Cool J’s DJ Cut Creator in 1985, UTFO’s Mixmaster Ice, the many great Philly DJ’s (Jazzy Jeff, Cash Money, Tat Money, Miz) makin noise in 87-89…the Westcoast heros DJ Joy Cooley and of course DJ Aladdin… 2 Live Crew’s Mr. Mixx…EPMD’s DJ Scratch…DJ Premier, Pete Rock and many more…no way i could include all tracks i wanted to use in only one mix so watch out for more…
